The great flood of Noah’s day was an act of Divine Judgment, brought upon the cradle of our civilization in order to preserve “the sons of God” from mongrelizing with “the daughters of men.” Had this mongrelizing proceeded further, “the sons of God” would have become extinct and God’s Great Plan for the human race [been] thrown into chaos.

Because the serpent had seduced Eve, God pronounced a curse upon both parties involved in this act of deliberate rebellion; furthermore, He announced that “hostility” would exist between their respective “seeds” down through the ages (Genesis3:15).

The Bible clearly states that the Serpent and the woman, whom he “beguiled,” (seduced) would be the progenitors of separate and distinct lines of people. Recognition of this fact is imperative to our understanding of what is going on in human history.

The Serpent had already wrought havoc among the creatures “outside” the garden of Eden. He now sought to invade God’s sanctuary and bring under his domain this new creation of God “conscious” creatures called “Adam” (Genesis 5:2).

Eve’s first son Cain “was of that wicked one, and slew his brother” (1 John 3:12). He was therefore expelled from the garden. When Cain was told of his plight, he expressed great fear for his personal safety, for he was well aware of the creatures dwelling outside of Eden. A mark was placed upon him, and he made his exodus under Divine protection (Genesis 4: 8-16).

Cain was evidently not long in becoming the master of his new surroundings. Bear in mind he was the mongrelized product of two creations. The “Adamic” nature enabled him to excel and surpass the creatures outside the garden. He married and had a son whom he named “Enoch: and he built a city, and called the name of the city, after the name of his son, Enoch” (Genesis 4:17).

Cain’s name is not listed in “the book of the generations of Adam” (Genesis 5:1). He is excluded from the genealogy of “the sons of God” (Luke 3:38). The line of Cain is not traced in the Scriptures. His name is not included in the book of life. Mention IS made, however, to unidentified members of his posterity by none other than our Lord Jesus Christ. It was to them that Jesus spoke His sharp words of rebuke…

“Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?” Our Lord then reminded THEM of what they had done to God’s prophets and held THEM responsible for “all the righteous blood shed upon earth, from the blood of righteous ABEL (Cain’s brother) unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and altar” (Matthew 23:33-35).

Jesus disputed often with “the seed of the Serpent” for they constantly heckled Him and sought to discredit His ministry. On another occasion, He said to them: “My word hath no place with you…Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they unto Him, We be not born of fornication, we have one father, even God. Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love Me…YE ARE OF YOUR FATHER THE DEVIL, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar and the father of it” (John 8:37-45).

“We be not born of fornication” was the accusation hurled at Jesus by the Serpent’s seed. This conversation WAS NOT about spiritual things. It was about “seed,” posterity, offspring, who was whose father, etc. Those professional slanderers knew full well the background of Jesus’ natural parentage. They knew nothing about the fact that He was the ‘VIRGIN BORN SON’ but accepted Joseph and Mary as His true parents. They knew that His supposed parents were the descendants of JUDAH through the bastard son PHARES! (Genesis 38:1-30; Luke 3: 23-33) They knew the Divine Law concerning bastard offspring (Deuteronomy 23:2).

Most of us have failed to recognize the constant STRUGGLE that went on between Jesus and the Serpent’s seed. Here and there, in the Gospel records, the battle comes to the surface, and Jesus turns on those who constantly sought His destruction, exposing their diabolical plot!

One day, Jesus spoke a parable about “a certain householder, which planted a vineyard, and hedged it round about, and digged a wine-press in it, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country: And when the time of the fruit drew near, he sent his servants to the husbandmen, that they might receive the fruits of it. And the husbandmen took his servants, and beat one, and killed another, and stoned another. Again, he sent other servants more than the first: and they did unto them like wise. But last of all he sent unto them his son, saying, they will reverence my son. But when the husbandmen saw the son, they said among themselves, THIS IS THE HEIR: COME, AND LET US SEIZE ON HIS INHERITANCE. And they caught him, and cast him out of the vineyard, and slew him…”

After hearing the parable, Christ’s enemies “perceived that He spake of them, but when they sought to lay hands on Him, they feared the multitude, because they took Him for a prophet” (Matthew 21:33-39, 46).

Jesus, the Son of God, was also the woman’s seed. He was that Seed Whose “heel” the Serpent’s seed was destined to “bruise.” God said to the Serpent: “I will put enmity between thee (Satan) and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel” (Genesis 3:15).

Jesus knew it was “the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God” that He be “taken and by wicked hands…crucified and slain.” He likewise knew God would “loose Him from the pains of death” and that He would be raised again on the third day, according to the Scriptures! (Acts 2:23; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4)

Jesus Christ also knows HIS DAY IS COMING when the Serpent’s “head” shall be “bruised” and praise God, the “seed of the woman” shall be Christ’s agents in bringing this about.

TODAY…The Serpent’s seed is doing everything conceivable to bring the whole world against the “sons of God” who are, in reality, “the seed of the woman” through the chosen line. The Psalmist saw this day and asked: “WHY do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD and against His anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us…” (Psalm 2:1-3).

The whole heathen world is lining up against THE LORD’S ANOINTED and are [sic] attempting to “break their bands asunder” and “cast away the cords” that have held them in economic, political, and religious submission!! Nations are being born in a day! The ignorant heathen, who yesterday ran about naked in the African bush, are today clothed in Western garb and are seated at the Security Council of the United Nations. The tide of destiny has turned and is carrying the floating debris of yesterday’s way of life out into the sea of despair.
